We love the trees and sparkle that goes hand in hand with this time of year. But we’ve decided to share a few other holiday decorating tips to make your home shine and as special as the season.
Pillows are an easy way to turn a summer home into a winter retreat. These hand-knit colorful sweater pillows will work well beyond Christmas thanks to our snowy mountain region.
One of our little-known passions are mugs – it’s fun to find mix up mugs for different seasons. Sometimes a huge mug of soup is in order, other times a smaller mug is perfect for a rich cup of coffee. Serving hot chocolate in these festive skier mugs brings on the cozy. We love that they’re hand painted and have an artisan feel and a substantial handle. They’re perfect for our ski town… as it keeps snowing!
We can’t help but smile every time we see this little guy. So our tip is to let your personality shine and be playful. If it makes you smile, share it: Part of the joy of visiting our friends this time of year is discovering fun, unique and special objects of décor. This deer is made of twisted wire and has a bit more of a modern sensibility to it.
Cozy, cozy cozy! Pile on big throws and nubby pillows, relish in the flannel and texture. Mix in winter whites to make the scheme a bit more crisp… and ready for winter. These neutrals are a perfect pairing when you have lots of holiday color. They can easily transition from holiday to mid-winter.
Not all holiday décor is only for the holidays. This statement art features smoked glass with an elk print; paired with bright greens, bold silver and winter white bulbs, the entire vignette is warm without being overdone.
Not to be forgotten – wonderful wafting scents. We don’t all have time to bake cookies so fill the air with luxurious aromas.
Between the textured throws, interesting art, luscious aromas and hot cocoa – all of your senses will be alive. Good design is ubiquitous and found everywhere. For more ideas and inspiration, visit our Edwards Showroom – we’re open every day till Christmas!
