The ladies don’t get to have all the fun come Easter Sunday or early spring. Sure, we love to put on a new pair of strappy sandals in a bold color or find a dress that flows and makes us feel (and look) oh so good. But why stop there? Spring is the perfect time to make your house shine, to find that new accessory that brings you unbridled joy every time you walk into the room. For me – I love a grapefruit-scented candle. My friend loves her brightly colored poof. Another friend purchased plates that brighten her dining room – and her face with a giant smile. Here are a few of our favorites to let spring come in.
A Sunday brunch is the perfect way to kick off the week: scrumptious food, a bit of bubbly and best friends to share the time with. We’re loving white dinnerware – it complements any décor – and will be a lovely set up for Easter brunch. There’s a simple elegance with the white-on-white-on-white.
We’re thrilled pastels are making their way back into our homes. These aren’t the saccharine sweet colors from yesteryear, these are warm, cheerful, sophisticated hues. We’ve said it before but will say it again – throw pillows are such an easy way to update your home. Use them on a neutral sofa or chair. Add in a fun geometric pattern and you’ve created a divinely comfortable seating area.
If you’re married to your neutral room and aren’t ready for a big change, we suggest realistic-looking silk flowers. These blush-and-pistachio pastels are a lovely spring accessory for a side table.
Manufacturers are creating swoon-worthy armchairs. We have some in soft-as-butter leather with contemporary fringe or a stately wood-and-fabric number that is sophisticated without losing a bit of comfort. We’re loving the lighter fabrics that are making a scene – the bold profile of the furniture pairs perfectly with the neutral fabrics. Add a spring-inspired pillow and your guests may not leave!
The master bedroom is more and more a retreat – elegant furnishings, varied textures, clean lines and unique accessories. After a busy brunch, a nap is almost required. We’re loving the subtle embroidery, various pillow shapes and fluffy accents that create a haven. Best of all? These can work just as well come winter as summer.
You’re ready, your house is ready – now invite your besties over for a delicious brunch. Here are a few of our favorite recipes.
