Over her career, Beth Slifer has created some fantastical vignettes, found perfection in the retail world and designed some incredibly stylish homes. So what inspires Beth Slifer, which in turn, just might end up in your own home or on your own specially cultivated list?
Here’s a curated list of our Chief Creative Officer’s favorites, they are, in short, the essence of Beth Slifer.
What makes Beth tick? A penchant for being on time is the first step to success. Cartier Tanks keep Beth stylishly on time.
Beth’s buzz: Bourbon Old Fashioned. Long before Don Draper made them sexy, Beth was enjoying an Old Fashioned with Jack Daniels – hold the sugar, please.
Keeping energy high is a must. Beth’s favorite foods: New Orleans-style Creole, gumbo, and raw oysters.
Best burger? Lark Burger –The Boulder Weekly “Readers’ Poll” agrees it’s the best. With 13 in Colorado, there’s one down the street from you.
Travel must afar: For a one-week escape, head to Paris and Normandy. After two or three days, rent a car in Paris and drive two and a half hours to Deauville.
Stay: Hotel Barriere Royal which has a picturesque beach and an adjacent casino.
Learn: Hire a guide for two days and soak up American and European history of World War II. Fascinating and inspiring.
Travel must nearby: Exotic and historic San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
Stay: Enjoy a home-away-from home at one of the many charming colonial-style guest houses. Or check in to the fabulous Rosewood Hotel.
Why? San Miguel de Allende is a destination for foodies, artists and tourists seeking perfect weather and a bit of history.
Fresh-faced at any age: Crème de la Mer Moisturizing Cream is a powerful moisturizer. High altitude has nothing on this cream.
Stay warm year-round: Uniqlo’s puffy jacket is heavenly – warm enough in the winter and not too stifling in the summer. Cozy for cool nights and cut to fit perfectly.
Best retail therapy to find the unexpected: Slifer Designs – Unique gifts and accessories as well as trendy and classic furnishings. Instant gratification indeed.
Loves to lose herself in: a Wayne Wolfe painting, which are clear and and reminiscent of a photograph, nature at its best.
