There is a big variety of projects shown from a large rustic ranch in northern Montana to villas in Hawaii. The first few links are projects that I think you will appreciate with their more mountain rustic esthetic. These are just a few of the several jobs I have worked on in the last 12 years.

Design Process
We have a great process of helping guide you in furniture selections. This can cover everything from rugs, window treatments, furniture, art and accessories, to full-service turnkey design with a housewares packages. In that case, all you need to do is show up with your toothbrush. How we present furnishings is in a design package that is a step by step guide through the house showing furniture space plans for each room and concepts for furniture that coordinates with the space plan.

After furniture is selected we look at fabric schemes for each room for you to make selections. This is the best part of the job! We send you a really fun box with fabric schemes for each room, it’s like Christmas. Each fabric is labeled and in its own scheme bundle for easy communication. After selections are made we send you a proposal and once we receive your approval and deposit we order asap.

One point that I have been covering with clients recently is we are currently experiencing long lead times for furniture, unfortunately most upholstery vendors are running 20+ week lead times due to covid and raw materials delays. We are trying to be conscious of clients deadlines and suggesting ordering sooner than we would have in the past to ensure that your furniture arrives for your deadline. When shorter deadlines are mandatory we are sourcing from our showroom inventory, readymade vendors, and quick ship vendors.

All of the design work described above is covered in our Retail Contract. The contract details out that all you pay for is the cost of goods, freight, and install. Because we have our own showroom, warehouse, and 37+ years building relationships with vendors, we receive wholesale pricing and we pass along discounted price to our clients. There is no hourly fee for my design service in regards to the furnishings portion of your job. There is also no mark up on freight. Attached is sample copy of our contract and when you are ready to sign, when you are ready to sign I will send you a DocuSign.

The great part about our contract is that you can do as much or as little as you need and treat it as an la carte menu. If you love shopping for lamps, we are happy to let you cover that. We are here to help make your project a success and make the process of designing and furnishing your home as easy as possible.

We send you weekly updates to ensure that we are in communication about the progress of your job and that nothing is missed. Communication is the most important part of any relationship and we want you to feel up to speed and involved on your job so there are no surprises at the end. This is our 37 year in business and we pride ourselves on successful projects all over the US and a positive reputation with new and several repeat clients. We focus on meeting deadlines, respecting your budget, and communication in addition to great design.

Next steps moving forward are your signature on our contract and payment of our retainer. When you are ready to sign, I will send you the contract via DocuSign. There is a $3,000.00 retainer due at the signing that can be paid via check, wire, card (with a 5% fee), or online through our client portal. This retainer will be applied to your final bill. If you do not have a balance for your final bill, we will issue you a refund.

I always like to add a little bit about myself too. I grew up in Vail and my family is still here. I have my bachelor’s from Colorado State University in interior design and have been in the industry for 12+ years and 7+ of those years with Slifer Designs. I have done work all over the US with the majority in the Mountain West between Colorado, Montana, and Wyoming but have several projects in Hawaii, Florida, back East, and California. I believe design should be beautiful and timeless but comfortable and durable. Life happens with red wine, kids, and dogs and good design should accommodate life with durable materials and fabrication. I love interior design and helping create spaces for clients to make memories with their families! This is a little silly but attached is my headshot.

Again it was a treat to visit with you and get to know one of Beth’s friends! If you have any questions on the contract or steps moving forward let me know. My cell is 970.390.8484. Thanks so much Bob and me and Beth are looking forward to hearing back!

-Best!
