Falling for Our Favorites

It’s time to ready our homes for fall – finally, the weather is cooling, the leaves are changing and sunflowers are bursting with color. Besides the ubiquitous pumpkin, here are a few of our favorite home decorating tips for autumn.

We’re simply mad about plaid – it’s such a stylish and fall-weather print. What is it about tartans that remind us of cooler weather? Luckily, plaid is not just for the girls – we love the Ryan Studio orange plaid pillows because they add masculinity to the bed. Expect to see more plaid over the next few months.

Last year, we found so many cute and unique stag heads – this year we are enamored with animal prints from Wendover Art. They are understated but are perfect for our mountain environment.

College footballs takes center stage this time of year. If you love the sport, or end up watching the game, snuggling up with a Shupaca alpaca throw makes the hours fly by. Add to the overall ambiance with our sweet and spicy Lafco candles or Aquiesse candles and diffusers. (Hint: you won’t even know there is a game going on – it will feel and smell like a lovely spa retreat.)

Alpaca throws provide a lovely texture in addition to coziness. We love texture anytime of year but when the weather turns, we love faux fur pillows from Piper Collection or Ryan Studio’s antler pillow. A cup of hot apple cider, a good book, luxurious Taracea armchair and a fire: what else is there on a chilly afternoon?

Inevitably, there will be a few rainy days in between our bright blue-sky days before the winter comes in white and cold. Add bright fall flowers in a medley of colors to welcome your guests. Don’t rely on only chile for game day fare – use elegant cheese platters, stylish cutting boards and contemporary cheese knives to elevate the day. You might need it in case your team loses.

This is just the start of our showroom favorites. Stop by, we’d love to show you more to help bring autumn into your home.
